A land known for its chocolate, banks, UN, pocket knives, Cough Drops, and Hadron Collider also has a taste for Hip-Hop. Aightgenossen gave Badi’s album The Departure 4 out of 5 points… he even gets compared to Obama! “Well we’re movin on up…. To the east side. To a deluxe apartment in the sky. Movin on up To the east side. We finally got a piece of the pie.” to steal from the Jeffersons….

Badi’s infectious rhymes can be heard on a recently released video created by his friend Jamal Coleman. The video is excellent a really shows both Badis talent as an entertainer as well as Jamal’s prowess as an after effect artist. from his description:

Badi had the opportunity to perform at the 2008 ABS conference which took place in San Diego CA… He was backed up by one of the hottest producers / DJ’s in the game… DJ Sabzi of Blue Scholars & Common Market fame. His mainstage performance rocked the house with over 1100 people in attendance.

Badi’s debut album “The Departure” was released just a few months back. It has been received with high praise from music lovers and industry veterans alike. His sound is refreshing and unique.
